GUIDE: Which company should I buy from?

It's a price/power inflation scam, the lasers are overpriced and underspec.
So it's the same thing with the craps below $10 on ebay? The website says it's real 1000mw/3000mw/5000mw and it's blue not those green ones on ebay, i'm confused about the real prices for a real 1w blue laserpen.

Go and check out the companies posted on the first page of this thread. Search around and find something you like. The company you looked at is a scam and should just be forgotten about.

If you want a good cheap 1-2W laser you can just make it yourself. It will cost less than $100.
I made mine by following this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYuvHFiyfoQ

I think the creator is part of these here forums and the video was very helpful for me when I made my first laser.

You can change it from 1W to 2W but you'll need a different driver and diode.

Looks like XPL is almost done testing their new host. They sent me this today DongXi Peng: Hi, Logan, thanks for your attention.

I am testing it yet, in next week, we will complete all testing, then we will sell it.

Thanks

XiaoPeng

Good. I'd like to see a video of theirs, though, before I trust their new host. Their credibility has gone down a great deal.

Found another company that looks like it's selling cheap lasers wayyyy overpriced. Quality looks medium-ish and but nothing that's worth what they're charging.

Kree U'King ZQ-j8 445nm Blue Laser Pointer Pen | Widelasers ? WideLasers

Edit: it also lists a 2000mw 638nm? What?

If you look at their site, they're clearly trying to copy WickedLasers, in the site's design and in their name. I will add them as a scam immediately.

Yeah I was gonna say it looked familiar:thinking:

U'King is in relation to Laserpointerpro, avoid like the plague. I think Laserpointerpro as well as other Chinese companies just distribute this supplier. We need to take down one company at a time. :D --> :bumpit::gun:

I message XPL again today asking for a update and some pictures of the host. They are tweaking a few things on the host. They sent me two pictures and asked which one I like more. Which one do you guys like? Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet

Personally, I like the look of the knurled grip from the second photo, but I think the end cap design from the host in the first picture looks better.

The key difference is that the first host is a 26650 host - meant for 1W+ - and the second one is an 18650 host, meant for 500mW
Personally, I'm not sure which I prefer. They both look nice though.

Re: Proper 16340 Batteries for my 445nm 4W Laser

Speaking of laserpointerpro, what the heck is this? Professional Attacking Laser Pointers for Sale - Laserpointerpro
Professional Attacking Laser Pointer. What could be worse? Next thing they'll sell is "Special low divergence anti-plane handheld."

That just means it has a spiked head, making it look more threatening. My 7W lightsaber build has the same quality, except better. :D

Dang, where did you get that host and how much was it. Also is that the 20mm module? That's the one I own.

That beauty is a SaberForge Reborn, ASP (modular) version. It was around $180. It was a very tough build, so I would advise against attempting it.

It's the 25mm module, not the 20. :)
