It wouldn't be that hard to figure out, most people usually change the title to "CLOSED" or include it in the first post. Although it would be convenient to have the active GB's to be listed in a single thread at the top of the page, it's not to complicated to find out which GB's are open and which ones have already closed.
But despite my arguing with myself, I'd say make a thread, it might make a few more people participate in GB's if they have quick access to whats available and what isn't.
