Oooo good one! But since I have never seen it in real life I can't really say. I also think the effect also looks like lightning.

im pretty sure you can get the same effect with slowly rotating textured glass

I like to do something like this but with anti static bag.
It make's a interesting effect and if you move it slowly it makes a very fluid morphing effect, and its ezzyer to work with than a sinder block:yh:
