good dmm for under 100$?

does any1 know of a specific dmm thats under 100$ that has the best range of options(besides the 1 at dx). ive got a cheap 20$ radio shack model that i get mad at everytime i use it http://www.radioshack.com/product/i...kw=multimeter&kw=multimeter&parentPage=search

Wow. $100 is a huge budget for a DMM. You could get a real pro one for that. I'd go for a Fluke one, if you can't get them at radio shack then i don't know (I'm in Australia) but Fluke make some top meters.

Fluke is the best

Try a 115 model. It will be a little more than $100 new but if you can find it elsewhere its good

The radio Shack has a decent DMM for 25$. I have a fluke and this RS one and tho the RS is slower to respond, i use both and they are accurate. Can't beat a fluke but if you dont have a multi purpose scope, you will want a couple meters anyway, the RS @25$ is dang good at millivolt and milliamp readings, just give it a couple seconds to level out.

I donno bout you but I don't see spending tons of cash for a high quality meter when a good one will serve for most uses.  I agree that a radio shack meter is ok, but I recommend this one.

I'll not disagree that the fluke is a better multimeter. it is hands down.

I had that same one for my first meter. It is ok-ish, but only for low voltages. I tried checking for 480VAC at work with it and it fried. It is supposed to be able to handle it, but wasn't
