Ummm, looking in the direction of the sun isn't really going to change the amount of x-rays and gamma rays you get from the sun. You skin won't stop gamma rays, they'll do cell damage and burn you either way. Your body won't do a lot to stop x-rays either, doctors send x-rays through your body to take pictures of your bones, and that wouldn't be very hepful if your body was actually protected from x-rays. To shield for gamma rays and x-rays, you're generally going to be thinking more on the level of lead than plastic glasses or goggles. Leaded glass maybe for x-rays.
And the sun doesn't really produce many x-rays or gamma rays, thankfully, at least none that are getting to the ground in large numbers. The sun's emissions that we get, and are what we have to worry about, are pretty much all in the UV to IR range.
