Goggles for 405nm?

I ordered a pair of goggles to block 405nm, and the goggles that arrived are lime green. I thought goggles for 405nm were different? Are these a mistake, or am I just thinking of a different color?

The few green goggles I have seen protect against the UV and short IR range. All of them have sufficient OD (optical density) at 405nm since it is near UV.

That being said, with safety issues you have to be sure - and the ones I have seen were all from high end manufacturers.
Where did you buy yours from? Do they have any markings on the lenses?

While it's almost expected that the filter color is the "complementary" color of the wavelength to be filtered, it's not always so. I've got goggles that block green but have a greenish tint. It really just depends on the filter.

As long it does the job I wouldn't worried about the color of the goggles. I have a yellow goggles for 405nm laser. Did you test the goggle on protection ?

Most blue/violet blocking glasses I've seen were yellowish as well, maybe a link to the product would help.
