Hey c0ld , just an idea, but would you consider adding another forum for like minded geeks to discuss our weird and wonderful stuff outside lasers? the "other" forum is getting very vague, with usually links posted about "other" stuff.

I believe most of us that have come into lasers have a background for experimenting with stuff, trying new stuff and are generally of the scientific or artistic kind.

Topics to be discussed could include Astronomy, computing, shooting , physics, Pyromania, or whatever other interests that people have. More than once now, I have been scratching my head over which forum to post a certain topic in, as experiments and mods and other , just don't seem quite right. I throw this over to yourself and the other forum members to discuss.

Jase.

EXCELLENT idea ! Sometimes the "OTHER" section gets too flooded with other items (pardon the pun) that posts can get lost there, requiring bumping :-/

In the other topic I've made a good astronomy sticky so that problem is sorted, I'm sure that if an extra forum is created I'll move that thread to the new forum ;)
Great Idea Jase 8-)

ps: Glad I made you laugh with the Proctor joke ;D ;D ;D ;D

Great idea there! I am for it, it seems a lot of the laser hobbiests have a lot of the same interests so it would be cool to have a section for that.

well i like high voltage stuff, and i am forever going around to different forums for it, so that's a good idea!! ;)

hey everyone. do you like the technology section as it is, or do you think i should call it geek's corner?

it's really up to you all!

thanks for all the suggestions - it is you guys that make this forum a great place

regards

Thanks for doing this for us c0ld, I personally think the "geek" thing has the attraction of people thinking "whats that all about then", and is more encompassing than "technology", which kind of limits it to , eh Technology. Geeks can be passionate from anything from art to science and to technology. or any other subject that people are passionate about. I think it would give it a broader appeal.

Just my 2c worth.

Jase
