GB laser barrels

Everyone is in for a treat, the barrel is awesome!

I heard that! Hey Kenom, can I get my 1st run without the driver? Maybe just the other items needed like the cap and tail switch clip. (remember I paid extra) - If not, I'll just wait though...

Hmmm...I would venture a guess that we would be seeing complete Kryton lasers from you Kenom! ;)

Not a problem Jay. anyone that wants thier barrels without the driver pm me with transaction # and I'll post it right away.

Like everyone else at this point. Im done playing games. Kenom is sending me my barrels monday. :P

Okay folks - emails have been sent out to all of BF's customers regarding the drivers ! YAY ! PLEASE reply ASAP so I know what to do with your drivers - Thanks !

i didnt get an e-mail... Did you e-mail ppl who bought them directly from his GB< or did you e-mail us barrelers too?

In case anybody decides that they don't want their 1st run barrels, I would like to buy two more. (doesn't hurt to ask)

didnt recieve anything either...

I only emailed those that purchased additional drivers - Kenom will be distributing ones for his barrels.

Yup. not to worry you'll be getting info regarding what's going to happen soon. When I get drivers in my hands the happy things will get shipped asap. I really want this to surpass gregs sentorch thread, but not in trouble like he was having! LOL. maybe we can fill 20+ pages with pictures and impressions and suggestions on assembly.

Damn it!

Ok I got the snapring in the tailcap and just figured out that the clicky switch is not making good contact. I do not know what to do. Oh and is that extra spacer that we need for the area between the snap ring and the clicky switch?

P.S. I blew the phazor diode. don't know how or why but it is an led now. Sucks.

I've actually got a tutorial in this thread. don't know the page right off hand, but it has instructions on how to assemble the tail section. The metal ring goes between the rubber boot and the clicky.

As far as the clicky switch not making good contact what do you mean. There's 3 planes of connection here. 1 the connection from the clicky and the rubber peice. 2 the connection to the outside diameter of the barrel, and 3. the connection to the bottom of the batteries from the spring. Can you clarify?

the part that is not making good contact is the flaps on the sides of the clicky switch. It seems like after a while they bend a little.

Yeah, I went back to look at the tutorial before assembly so everything is in right. I just don't know how I will take the snapring out in order to bend the flaps on the switch back out again.

yeah, the doggone inside there is a little too big.  we are reducing that inside diameter there to better fit inside the barrel.  I would recommend pulling out the clicky and putting a small amount of solder on the outside of those tabs.  I've also run into a few of the clickies that fail afer a period of time.  it's a good thing they are cheap from DX.

Harbor frieght sells snapring pliers for pretty doggone cheap. $5 I think.
