Okay... you guys asked for it...

I'm assuming that no-one here claims ownership of the Big Scary Laser icon which I have so heinously re-purposed here... If so, let me know and I'll cease and desist.

If not, here's my proposal for a BSL T-Shirt, with the BSL logo on the front and abadcaffeinetrip's quote on the back. Trendy wear for the next laser meet, wot? Let me know how many are serious about buying one and if there's enough interest, I'll contact a local screen printer and start a GB for them.

Cheers, CC

Great idea! I'd never seen that site before. Thanks for the heads up! :)

I know you were joking about attribution, but it really should have one, so I'll put the main type in Quotation marks (” “) and put a 10pt abadcaffeinetrip underneath. Don't want to be outing you now... :D

CafePress would be an excellent outlet - and without question - I'M IN ON THIS! I love that graphic! While the text about survival is true, I'd prefer just the graphic. In any case, I'll definitely take at least one.

Hey, my dad can silkscreen... if you send me hi-res designs i can whip one up in a weekend!

And i'm so in.

Hey Blue,

I'll take you up on the offer of silkscreening, but check with your dad first, of course. ;) I did the logo in Illustrator CS3, but I'll save it down to whatever software your dad uses, or convert it to a hirez JPEG if that's more useful. I seem to remember using film to etch the design when I did silkscreening in college, but my shop's all computer-to-plate now, so I can't do the film for him myself. Let me know what's best for him if he agrees to do a run for us. He'll need some of that opaque rubbery yellow ink for the run.

I'll PM Avery and see if he's cool with putting the LPF logo on the back instead of the quote. I agree, it would be a good promo piece for the forum. Maybe your Dad can price them so that every shirt sold we donate $5 to LPF. Use it as a fundraiser of sorts. Whaddayathink?

Cheers, CC

hey guys, i like the idea of an LPF logo on the shirt=) thanks for helping out, i appreciate your support Brian & Rolf!

thanks for your kindness.

regards,

I'm down, but how about a smaller logo, like half the size, and no text on back?

before anything gets made, there should be a vote! ;D

I agree with having some options. Once I hear back from Blue I'll mock up 2 versions. One with a full size (8" wide) logo and another with the logo about 3" wide over the left breast for those who seek a bit more subtlety in their wardrobe.

I'm hoping that Blue's dad can print this on polo shirts and the like as well, that way we can have several options. All shirts will have the LPF logo across the back about 8" wide. Once we settle the deets, we'll start up a GB.

lol as much "extra baggage" as I have, i dont think I have anything you would call "breasts" :D...

I like the LPF idea, and if any money goes to avery, i might be in for one. depends on the price though...

Curiously_Coherent, email me a final high res design as a .psd with whatever you come up with. cgeeky@gmail.com
though if its a decent resolution you might have to upload it somewhere and send me the link.

I'm definitely in for one!

I like the idea of having just the image, I like it better without the quote.

also, if the silkscreening doesn't work out ( by the way thats very nice of you Blue, thanks for both you and your dad) I've gotten all my work done from Brunetto T-shirts. cheaper and better than cafepress. (black t-shirt, double sided would be about $8 if i recall correctly, with price breaks at 50. minimum order of 12 per design)

I definitely got to have one!

I like the just having just the image, and small size, like shirt pocket area and size, if possible. I like it with no quote.

It's in Blue's hands now, so we'll have to see what options he's willing to entertain. If we don't hear back within a week I'll mock up several versions, have you folks vote on which is better and get them produced. The image is public domain, so maybe Blue will come up with a Blazelasers branded version as well... ;)

Cheers, CC
