is there any way to put a voltage thing(dont know what its called) sso that this will work for a red diode on 3 AAA's? and what is the time estimate so far? thanks
CL- If you are wanting to build a laser in a flashlight that takes 3 AAAs, buy a few of these, they are the exact same size as an AAA battery, but they put out 3.6v a piece.

i dont want to have to wait for shipping and regular aaa is more available, there is something that can step the voltage up from 4.5 to 6, i just dont know the name of it and i dont know if i could put one on these?

You live in the US, so if you bought those batteries right now from that link, you would get them before the circuits came in ;) Plus, those are rechargable.

I couldn't have said it better.

by the time I get these, package/assemble them and ship them off, you will have your DX batteries. dont forget this:

what??

why do you need 18650's?? unless you are using 2 at a time, they only have 3.6v and will not work. they re huge however, and are not usually used in pairs..

they are 18mm in diameter (almost 2cm) and 65mm long (like 6.5 cm or so)

if you are looking for AA sized 3.6v batteries, go for 14500's. AAA sized 3.6v = 10440's.

so, i have the 3 AAA battery flashlight, could i use the 10440's? should i just use 2 and then bridge the 3rd battery slot?

use 3 10440's, its easier than bridging the last slot.

also, if you use 3 10440's, you can host a blu-ray!

be careful though! 10440's are not protected. so, be sure to charge them on a regular basis, and DO NOT short them out.

I GOT THE BOARDS TODAY!!

They are SMALL!!! in fact, they are so small, even I was shocked!

everything is perfect, just one thing: the leads on my rectifier diodes were just a bit to fat for the hole. I could try to surface mount the rectifier on your boards, or I could send it to you in your package separate, and you could do whatever you want. it works FINE without the rectifier, except there is no reverse polarity protection. so if you hook up your batteries backwards, the driver wont protect against that.

Sorry about that... I used the default pads for someone's 1N4001... Apparently not the right ones though.

Amk, if you have any left over, I'd like to buy a couple of unassembled boards and pots from you. Thanx.

so would it be too late to change one of my assembled red boards to an assembled blu ray one? if it is, that ok :p

actually, it is too late. I assembled em all yesterday and today, and I shipped these out at around 4:00. everyone in the US should have them by around a week or so. non-US, you will have to wait a bit :'( ...

knimrod, I do have some left over, and I could sell you some. PM me. NOTE: after that, no more deals until run 2. so knimrod can get some, nobody else until run 2. (BTW knimrod, I surface mounted the 1N4001's, so I'm ok)

regards,

amk
