Stuff like this is great, esp. because we can get the military to spend all the big bux on research and whatnot, under the guise of a "superhuman suit", and then retask it to paraplegics to allow them the same abilities that the rest of us take for granted.

So, I think it's my turn. Mine's pretty easy, but I just thought the design was pretty. I know this isn't a points based game, but bonus points for guessing the manufacturer too.

Its definitely a DIE or jnction of some kind....not a MOSFET is it?
 
Looks similar to an extensometer (i mean, the variable-resistance film used in mechanical extensometers and flexometers, sometimes used as weight sensors, and also for keep an eye on mechanical strenght of objects)
