I have been playing with this NUBM06 and it just pops out flame, well with a G2 and it's short rear FL it can produce a very thin beam, and that can cut material without imparting energy into the adjacent material and causing your work piece to burn.

We all knew this but it's still fun to see it work.

That DTR G2 does make a real clean super tight image of the emitter, it has the sharpest tightest focus so far and I can see how that's useful, it's also the lens I use before cylindrical shaping.

I love the sound it makes when it hits the beam.
You can feel the power.

Nice one Red!

Is the G-ball focused to a small point in that video? I've never used that lens.
Have you guys used a two element lens with this diode?

What is the output of that one?

The nubm06 on DTR's page hits 5.5 watts at 4.5 amps and 6.0 watts at 5.0 amps, but ABarnette and AlienLaser have both seen 7 1/2 watts on their meters.

It has a tighter divergence, at 15 feet the nubm44 though a G2 makes a 2 inch line and the 06 makes a 1.5 inch line, so that makes it seem stronger when burning.

The Gball is not perfectly focused to infinity, but it is better than the Gball on the 07e, at 15 feet the Gball makes a 1.25 by 1/4 inch line on the 06 and a 1 inch by 2 inch block on the 07e.

The nubm06 with Gball is the most useable as is, a block through a big homemade expander would be fun...it's on my list.

The original video in this thread is with a DTR G2.
