I htink you are taking this too seriously - I have tested other goggles, and proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are crap that will do nothing to prevent damage to your eyes. I have not tested the toolbarn goggles, cause I have my protcetive eyewear designed for lasers, and am happy with them. If it matters to you about brand etc, cool - I don't care...I didn;t pay a dime for my protective eyewear - nor do I intend to pay any money for some in the future - as I said, I have plenty of protection available, and I do not see them "wearing out" on me anytime soon ! I feel that if you want to use eye protection that is not designed to protect your eyes - you can do so....what I am saying is that my OPINION is, that I will never endorse any kind of protective gogles that are not specifically designed to protect your eyes, with an OD rating assigned to them. That is all you really need to take away from this whole thread - I was asked if a certain type of goggles were any good - and no they are not. They are not any better than wearing sunglasses and thinking you are protected. Do as you wish - that goes for anyone reading this forum, or others - I don't really care if you fry your retinas or not - they are not my eyes - and none of you live close enough to me to be any kind of danger to me while driving around town - so go for it ! I'll spend my money - or "company credits" the way I see fit - and have all kinds of fun while doing so - I will however never purchase anything to protect me that is not designed specifically for that purpose - nor will I recommend them to anyone. To each their own.
