Full Copper Jacket - The Little Weapon - M140, 445nm, 2W+

Only my 2nd post on this thread as it's so:o
Lot's of emailing and shipping between RB and Lifetime that both kept it a secret that one was being planned for me.:) My ear's weren't even ringing:can:
I do know it would be a sin to not keep that pretty mod nice and shinny;)..On top of the 510 module I also don't have a vape host. I'm guessing the vape host itself is coated for all the handling they go through.
Clear coating the 510 would be a no no?? and Paul's method of vinegar soaking wouldn't be the best choice for a complete module build.
Simple metal polish?:)

What I have done on completed builds made of copper is to wet a lint free cloth with white vinegar and use it to remove the tarnish. It may be possible to use an acrylic clear coat on the freshly polished head with a brush. It might be worth a try as you can always remove it with acetone.

My package is due tomorrow via DHL:):):):)
Shipped 5-6 days ago and 20,000 miles?;)
My mind tells me RB wrapped it nice and tight:beer:
Seeing though how members get their packages pretty beat up from DHL I will let you know how it arrives..
Now I just have to make sure i'm home all day:can:

It's made great time Pete, it was actually shipped out just 3 days ago and yes I packed very well.
In fact, the lady at DHL helped me pack it and she even went and got extra bubble wrap and made sure it was secure.
She also suggested what to write in the description.
I even included a small mini computer fan so that customs won't scrutinise the package too much as I described it as a heatsink and fan.
It was the same fan that Jordan (DTR) sent me with the modules.
I'd be very interested to see how the package shows up because I've always had great success with DHL here.

So excited for you buddy, hope you enjoy it.

RB

I forgot to add your 1 hour drive to the DHL warehouse:crackup:
Only 3 day's ago?? Even better but I guess waiting for something nice always seems long:D
Nice connection to the counter lady..It couldn't be the first time she worked with you, too funny. That will be my 3rd fan from Dtr and liking it..I hooked one up to a power source but thats it for now. Really should start using one as it should be.

hahaha, yep an hour's drive and only two sets of traffic lights...
I'll make that video for you so you can see the country side that I live in.
True, it's the first time she's seen me and it's only the second time I've been to the local DHL office.
All the other times I've dealt with DHL it's been on the receiving end and their delivery drivers are always good to deal with, they don't seem to throw the packages around too much, not like Australia Post.

LOL, too funny, all those fans from DTR.
Might have to incorporate them in one of the builds.

Hi
Thanks guys glad you all enjoyed the pics of the labby. These fans are quite large I think 60x60 mm the labby I have the fans 40x40mm and does fine so imagine these run in on 2- 9volt battery.

Rich:)

I got RB's package yesterday:):)
I can't post pic's but you get the idea from all the others posted:beer:
First thing other than its beauty that surprised me was to just how heavy it is..the vape host also. Other than the AL module pin connector, this thing is all copper heft:eg:
It did come DHL but I didn't get to experience a banged up box:crackup: as RB had the original vape box well padded with lots of bubble wrap in a big DHL bag..
Waiting for delivery wasn't without some anxiety, as estimated delivery was by the end of the day on Friday? It was held up for a day though in OH before its trip to MA and ended up shipping out from OH early morning Friday.
I called DHL and they told me that if it doesn't make it to MA before the final truck leaves I would have to wait till Monday:eek:
I waved sign on delivery so they could leave it at my door just incase and gave them my phone number hoping the driver can call me and asked my neighbors that hang outside to look out for a DHL truck.
That paid off as I got a call from one saying they saw the delivery man enter the building and leaving with no package. He never came to my door." I guess he didn't want to wait for the elevator or use his phone??" and brought it to the building mangagment office..
Long Long story later I grabbed the package from the office just as they were leaving for the weekend, and it would of killed me knowing it was in the building and having again to wait till Monday..
RB was was great on his his delivery side:):) ..
Awesome work from RB and Lifetime:beer:
When my cat goes away i'll get to play..as I only tried it for a minute yesterday

Hi GSS,
Wow finally you received it enjoy it RB is an awesome guy to send it to you . Not to many folks in this world do these random acts of kindness anymore. I enjoy doing them when i can makes someone happy and myself to know you did a nice gesture. The vape doesn't have a clicky sound so you cat wont hear it turning on buddy.

Rich:)

Glad you received that beauty ok GSS.
Very nice of Andrew indeed. Like Rich said not many would do that. :)
