FS: The MicroDrive SLR Boost Driver

Yeah, same Meter leads and things will add
noise in unexpected ways. Wire runs
definitely add both resistance and
inductance and affect the measurement.
Maybe you already know about it or haven't
run into it yet, but isolation can be
another big problem. If the power supply
isn't truly ground isolated, attaching the
probe ground in the wrong place can
possibly fry the scope. I almost always
just use batteries anymore to avoid the
grounding problems. They can throw the
measurement off sometimes because of the
current sensing in the PSU.

I did, and do use batteries for the power supply for realistic testing. Only downside though is that the voltage sags a lot especially with high current testing.

On the bright side, it's a realistic use case when testing drivers for portables.

What I often do is use a lipo. If you grab a 3000mAh 2S 20C pack, our "high currents" are nothing to it.

The three are still for sale in case anyone wants to try one.

I said I would buy one from you, but all my spare cash is devoted to something else at the moment- sorry man :/

No worries. I don't think they're going to go anywhere soon, so I'm sure they'll still be here whenever you can afford them.
