......Since all the beam expanders has a lot of power loss, I do not suggest the use of three elements glass lenses, unless You do not care a noticeable power loss or prefer a very focused small line instead a big fat line ...
Not to divert the thread on this subject, but I built a single lens beam expander which does not have as much loss as a conventional BE using a single PCX lens coupled with a defocused G2 or similar lens with it. Still two total lenses, but better than a three lens setup using a Galilean type expander (when you also count the lens in your laser). You could also take the raw ouput of your laser diode and use a single PCX lens to do the same thing, I just like using a defocused G2 because it's easy to control the spot size that way allowing the use of just about any PCX lens FL.
