Re: FS: Sanwu Laser store - R/G/B handhelds x3 BE & Stainless steel "The Spiker" rele

Last night the ( pocket ) was 50.00 plus 35.00 for the 490nm cyan. Total 85.00
Today the ( pocket ) is again 50.00 plus 40.00 for the 490nm cyan. Total 90.00

I thought the extraordinary price was to last 4 days, yet it is already increasing.

I see, it is still a low price. Tricky ;)

Yes, I wish Podo would respond to PM's too. I had a problem with my bank so have to start the process over, and yet even though I tried to fix the problem within the 4days, the price is already on the rise.....4days Sanwu :)

I ordered three X3 BE from Sanwu with M9 adapters. One for 7w Blue, one for 1W green and one for 16x bluray (already very low divergence!)
I always use my own G7 but I must test the G7 from Sanwu...

I assume he has a 7 mm FL lens that didn't come from Sanwu. I have several long FL lenses as well. One is 12 mm FL. That is the longest lens I have that will fit the 6.3 mm housings.

Re: FS: Sanwu Laser store - R/G/B handhelds x3 BE & Stainless steel "The Spiker" rele

Ok, I've seen some odd FL single element 6.35mm aspheric lenses for sale, but I have never seen them called G7's, I suppose that's just what he is calling them.

I am anxious to start enjoying some 490nm light, what driver are you using ?

Re: FS: Sanwu Laser store - R/G/B handhelds x3 BE & Stainless steel "The Spiker" rele

It depends on what the customer wants. I have three Nano Boost drivers set at 275 mA and five more boost drivers coming that should be able to run between threshold current and 350 mA. I've been waiting about a little less than a week. I hope they arrive soon.

Re: FS: Sanwu Laser store - R/G/B handhelds x3 BE & Stainless steel "The Spiker" rele

I like the Sanwu G7, it works well with the 3X beam expander, I have the G7/3X on ndb7875, ndb7a75, nubm44 and the fun is being able to burn at 20 feet and avoid all the smoke you would get if working on a desktop.

The G7 is a single element aspheric like the G2 but with about a 7-8mm FL, by placing the lens at the front of a M9 x 0.5 threaded holder you get to move the lens forward and use all the 12mm copper modules threaded length.

Sanwu gave us a nice wide open holder to let the light through.

Finally I ordered the Sanwu G7 long en short barrel to test them:)
I also ordered the pocket 490nm (/w G7 option) I think they use the same diode as DTR ? But at datasheet power:)
Anyone have a picture of front lens of X3 expander (private message ok) ? I can't get a proper one:(

The 3X beam expander has a 25mm wide front lens that sits on a lip in the front half and is retained with a stainless steel ring that appears to be glued in place, it is not threaded and can not be easily removed.

The back side of the output lens looks flat such as a PCX

---edit---

I might add that you can use your host heat sink module set screw ( I always drill and tap 2 ) to hold your primary lens focus by 1st adjusting your primary lens to a sharp focus at your favorite working distance or infinity and then pushing your module back into your heat sink and locking it down with the set screw so the adaptor attaching the 3X is bottomed out.

Thanks for your picture RedCowboy.

Here is picture of my modded barrel for aliexpress G7 lens :
I get the aperture from Aixiz barrel without the "bottleneck"...
I remove near all splash (the one far away from dot) I get with non modded aixiz barrel.

Edit : why my picture are very small with [A T T A C H] ?

Re: FS: Sanwu Laser store - R/G/B handhelds x3 BE & Stainless steel "The Spiker" rele

Yes, the G7 also removes much of the spherical aberration the 3 element produces and it lets more power through.

When burning at 20 feet through the 3X beam expander if I use a 3 element the tight focus looks like a small line with a big box shaped shadow, but the G7 makes a clean small line and if you go past that you get a super sharp line with some light wings seen at night through attenuation laser safety glasses, in daylight it all disappears but the sharp line.

The G2 with it's short FL is great when using cylindrical correction, but for a primary followed by an expander the G7 is much better for working at any kind of ( off the desktop ) distance and cleaner than the 3E as well as letting more light through.

This Sanwu 3X explander is awesome. I can't wait to test it. What your beam size ? (with G7)
If the G7 from Sanwu have better free space than my mod, I must buy 18 * G7 assembly lol

Re: FS: Sanwu Laser store - R/G/B handhelds x3 BE & Stainless steel "The Spiker" rele

I used caliper to measure the output of my modded G7 assembly. It's 5.5mm / 0.21in diameter.
I'm interested to know the same for Sanwu G7 :

The G7 is made into the barrel, can't remove and measure, but you want the G7 in the 7mm holder NOT the 9mm holder.
The ones they sent me in 9mm holder are not the same grind and they are not G2 either, so get your G7 in the 7mm barrel, it's in the list where you choose.

The beam exits wider, about 7mm wide.

I ordered one 7mm and one 9mm mount for G7 to look them. Even if I don't use the 9mm because small diameter I want to get one for sample/spare collection:D
