Is that an atlas 618 (or the craftsman clone) I spy? :yh:

Craftsman name tag on it...

Made by Atlas. Model 101.07301

It's in very good condition! :)

I found it at a flee market. It was in pieces. I had to trust the guy that it was in good shape and that the reversible motor was supposed to work...

After I did some on-line research to learn how to wire a reversible motor to the switch and stuff, I learned that everything worked great! My wife found the metal cart at a garage sale. So I mounted it on that...

The lathe (in parts), cost me $250 bucks...

Yeah, the 101 and 618 are the same thing. The 101's just had craftsman branding but were still made by atlas.

Have one myself. :D

Still searching for the proper milling attachment though. Most people seem to want more than the rest of the lathe is worth for them.. The one I have is for the 10" and 12" lathes so it won't work.

I've checked there occasionally but whenever I look the only ones I see are $300+

Are there any black hosts with black tail cap buttons still available, or do they all have the bright green buttons now?

They all have the greenish glow in the dark tail cap. But I'm sure I can change one out to a black one if that's what you would like...

Just mention it when you order... (PM)

Set at 750mA's per your request...

Thanks!

how much would it cost if i wnated to buy one of your lasers alredy built and ready to use?

ok thanks! but where can you get the GGW for a low price because i just started the hobby and i built a driver with spar parts and i need a diode. this would be my first laser project that i have ever built. so if some one on the forum could please donate a nice power blu-ray laser diode that would be the world to me thanks

If your on a budget and it's your first build, my advice is to use a PHR until your confident you know what your doing... They're dirt cheap, and it hurts a lot less when it dies heh.

You can get diodes at modwerx.com, hightechdealz.com, or stonetek.org...

For 445's, check with daguin or scopeguy20...
