I have a PBS cube 10mm from Laserwave UK - for all your lasershow hardware that I no longer need. It is AR coated for red lasers and has never been used. I bought it to combine a couple of LPC's but I no longer need it because I bought a high powered TO-3 635nm diode. I do need a blu-ray coated PBS cube so If anyone has one I would like to trade. I paid $30 dollars for it so I would like to get at least $25 back since its brand new. If you have a Blu-Ray PBS I can throw in some unused LPC or PHR diodes to make the trade more appealing.

^I have a blu-ray 12mm cube i would be willing to trade.. To be honest, I'm not 100% sure that it is coated for blu-ray specifically, since the person I got it from wasn't sure either, but it works great with blu rays, much better than any other wavelength I've tried it with, so that means it's either blue broadband or 405nm specifically.. 405nm cubes are more common than 473nm so I'm about 90% sure that it is coated for 405.

It is in perfect condition, no scratches. PM if interested.

ElektroFreak could you possibly test the power output of a blu-ray before and after cube? I don't need to know both reflect and transmit % just one of them. I would like to trade with you but I want to know if I'm going to get at least 90% transmit/ 90% reflect. If you don't have time to test it that's okay, just let me know.

I would certainly if I had a meter that read 405nm. The only meter I have presently reads from ~500nm on up.. I definitely need a better meter, but what I have works for a ballpark which is all I need most of the time.

Based on observation alone, I'd say the transmission/reflection is at least 90%@405nm but that is merely an educated guess, you can take it for what it's worth.. It performs as well as my red PBS does with red diodes, and that has a transmission/ reflection performance of close to 95%. Those observations are why I know that it is for blue wavelengths, obviously 405nm since that's really about the only type of inexpensive PBS commonly available at these wavelengths. I've never actually seen any PBS cubes for 473 and 445. I would assume they exist, but they are most likely quite expensive. I only say I'm 90% sure because I haven't seen it on a meter.

Once again, this is only based on educated observations. I think I might have heard somewhere that Marc over on PL might have some 405nm cubes..:p

Elektrofreak, i would like trade with you, send me a pm and we can exchange address details.

Robjdixon, I received the diode after a long wait. I'm going to need some time to test it and make sure it works as specified before I spend any more
money on a lens for it. A to-3 diode is a bit out of my league so give me a week or two while I figure out how to power the TEC and what to do with the termsistors pins. If anyone has any knowledge of TO-3 diodes please help. I will be posting a thread in PL about it because I would expect someone there might be able to help me.

Sounds good. I also offer to take the cube back and return yours if you're not happy with it. Hope that is fair to you. PM sent. Also, on closer inspection it is also 10mm not 12.

Its probably a laser-wave blu-ray cube, Those are the only cubes out there that are really affordable. I searched around for PBS for a long time trying to find one broadband coated to combine 405 and 650 and Laser-wave had by far the cheapest PBS's and they work pretty good too. I tested the red one I have and it was about 90% T/R. Anyways thanks for the trade, save me from having to sell this one then buy the blu-ray.
