FS: MXDL Host & Heatsink Combo! (4171 or 3405)

Supermaniac1423, I sent your 3405 V2 'Hot' option kit and other items today. (Thursday)

I set it at 380mA's per your request...

Hope your build goes well!

Jayrob, I want to order the 4171 kit, hot option with a micro boost drv,
and 405-G-1 lens. I need to know how to pay you with Paypal. Costs come out to some where around $115.00. If the Boost drive is set to 700ma does the driver heat up badly, I want to run a 1watt Blue diode.
Thanks
Kittamur

rigairshadaw, I'm sending your 3405 host/V2 heatsink combo with lead wires soldered on today. (Friday)

tazlynx51, same goes for your 3405 V2 'Hot' option kit with modified battery holder and other items.

Set at 1 Amp per your request.

Scoots, same goes for our 3405 V1 heatsink...

Thanks!

Jayrob, I need a heatsink for a 3405 Boost Driver, how much and do you have any all ready made up?

Thanks
Kittamur

Sorry about the email thing...
I guess I have read too many things today, what do you suggest on the driver heatsink on the 3405 using the pill as a heatsink or a made up heatsink. I am getting punchy.....
Thanks
kittamur

I must have something wrong, The flexdrive will go up to 1.4a, sorry I messed up, I thought the boost only went that high, OK never mind sorry I just got really tired...

There is a forum in LPF that is devoted to drivers. You should post your question there to get answers from some who may be able to help...

The Micro Boost is great up to about 1075mA's or so using the 2 jumper setting as shown in the documentation...

It will adjust to about 1075mA's give or take 40mA's.

The V5 FlexDrive (which will be at least a month before drlava has more), can go to 1.5 Amps or so. By putting a heatsink on the 5 pin chip, it helps the driver to keep from over heating.

But it is not really rated for that kind of power with a 4+ volt diode.

Which is why I set it that way only by request, and at your own risk.

That said, a few of us are setting them up like that, and they seem stable...
