Your welcome!

boompyle, I sent your 3405 V1 host/heatsink combo with lead wires soldered on today. (Wednesday)

Hope you like it!

No I don't believe it does...

It's a different light. It may have a little circuit built onto the board. Not sure. (don't remember)

I do have one of the lights left, but I don't want to remove the LED and take it apart unless I'm doing a 'Hot' option with it.

I noticed that DX has not had them available for some time now...

They probably got too many complaints about their replacement light not being the same as before...

Yeah... it's because although I do stock the V5 FlexDrives, as well as the new Micro BoostDrives, I need my stock for the 'Hot' option kits I sell...

So if you don't want the 'Hot' option, you can just get the host/heatsink combo, and then get your driver direct from drlava:

See my list of kits in my signature! :)

Which driver do you recommend, and how do they differ?

They are both great drivers. But the Micro Boost is designed for boost only. So it's for blu-ray diodes. Or the new 445 diode...

It can also give high output with those diodes. (1 Amp to 1200mA's)

The FlexDrive can 'buck' voltage as well as boost. So it is great for red or blu-ray. (or 445)

Now when you say boost, what are you referring to?

It uses extra current to give the diode the voltage that it is asking for if the supply voltage is less than the diode demand.

Such as when driving a 5+ volt blu-ray diode with a single Li-Ion battery or 2 X AA...

cod4pwns08, just to let you know that I sent your 4171 'Hot' option kit and other items today. (Tuesday)
