That's just about identical to the heatsink design I came up with for the L2P, so I would guess that the two hosts have the same interior...

My heatsink also has a smaller section at the bottom that fits into the battery compartment to make the heatsink longer yet. This was needed for an 18650 to fit properly.

I will have a cavity for the driver, and it will be fit for a contact board with brass ring to press in the bottom of the cavity...

Not a press fit design. But fit for an AixiZ module with a set screw. For a press fit design, the press area would be way up inside because it would need to be close to the lens. (same distance as an AixiZ module)

That sounds like a winner! How much would cost to have one made?

I'm in the process of making one now for a special order...

I had to order some material specifically for this heatsink because I don't keep that size on hand.

Plus, I have only one or two of the contact boards with brass ring that I will use to 'press fit' the bottom driver cavity...

I'll get back to you via PM after I make this one...

First build with the 3405 went quite well, so well I'm going to get started on another.

I really like the host, quite roomy and feels good in the hand. The heatsink works out quite well, rather beefy so seems to deal with the heat effectively but still leaves enough room behind it so that nothing is getting crowded or jammed in. I couldn't be more pleased.

PM sent for another.

The 3405 is a great host. Very roomy and solid feeling. Getting a second one in a week or so. The one I have now houses a 445nm set to 1.5A. Check link in sig.

Recently purchased a 'Build a Laser Kit 1W 445Nm' comprising of a MXDL 5w 3xAAA flashlight sku 3405, It came with a heatsink that holds the 1W Blue diode (no AixiZ Module) Can these heatsinks be purchased individually and shipped to the UK, if so how much would the shipping and H/S be combined

Thanks
