Great work Jay, I absolutely love my host and heatsink combo. I put some pics of it up under the Blu-Ray section. It's working great so far and I already put in about 4 hours.

Glad you like it! :)

Siega, your sku 46 heatsinks and o-rings are shipping today. (Tuesday)
:thanks:
Jay

Do you know what version Kens(hightechdealz)Aixiz modules are, I ordered that and the AAA MXDL(new) along with a PHR. I am interested I just need to know which heatsink to order and I don't want to wait until I get the parts from Ken to find out which one I need to order. You have any clue to which one I would need?

I believe he has the 3405 hosts, but I think he has different hosts as well, so just verify that it was the 3405 host that you bought, and I can make a heatsink for it. (fit for AixiZ)

Or did you buy a heatsink already? Because I Kendall buys heatsinks from me...

If you got this host:
http://hightechdealz.com/index.php?...oducts_id=27&zenid=pd2sgskjdt14k5djapogmk6te2

,,,then you will want the 3405/AixiZ heatsink.

Sending PM...
Jay

No he is sold out of the pre-heatsinked modules with phr's. It's this one
http://hightechdealz.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=27
I'll hit you up later tonight after working when I have some money and will order.
EDIT: It's a 3405
I just said which version of Aixiz because you were stating above which heatsink you shipped depending on the Aixiz module as well.
EDIT2: It was right under my nose, I'll contact you later about a 3405-A heatsink.

Thanks a lot, many thanks. I will be sure to post beam shots of this next to my other lasers when they all ship.

Your welcome! Looking forward to your beam shots...

Jay

Thanks, will post some pics once all my parts arrive and i put it together.
:thanks:

EDIT:
Just received my lpc in aixiz module and installed it in the heatsink, running off a breadboard circuit for the moment @350ma until i get my driver and it seems nice and cool, however the module wont go in past the front part, do i need to sand it lightly perhaps?

Sending your next 3405/AixiZ version 1 heatsink today. :) (Friday)
Jay

P.S. The back 'barrel' portion of the AixiZ module is not needed in case you would like your module mounted 'flush' with the face of the heatsink...

Thanks :)

The problem was that where the front part of the module screws into the back barrel the edge was raised slightly on the front part, and so it did not fit flush and was catching on something when trying to insert it into the heatsink. I sanded around the join with rough and then finer sandpaper and now it fits in the heatsink with the back barrel removed.

Yep... the modules don't meet exactly even where the front 'business' end meets the back 'barrel'.

But with a heatsink like this, just don't use the back barrel. It is not needed. I mean if you already have it in there, it is not hurting anything, but for your next one, you really don't need the back end of the module...

Heatsinks shipping today... (Monday)

computerhacker - 3405/AixiZ version 2
bigmike - 3405/AixiZ version 1

I meant to have these out on Saturday but didn't make it to the Post Office in time. Sorry about that.

Thanks!
Jay

Just finished my mxdl/phr build, (after killing 2 diodes, learnt the hard way about using heatshrink tubing/discharging output cap) your heatsink made it a breeze. Will post some pics later along with my mxdl/LPC-815 build once finished.

Edit: Finished the lpc burner too, not sure how much power its putting out but it sure burns well!
