Hi,

I received one of these kits from Jayrob, it is an awesome kit. and I would not hesitate to recommend this kit to anyone. The heat sink fit the host like a glove. I got the hot option and 405 lens options too. all very professionally done. I checked the current, it was exactly set to what I asked for.

It came with instructions and a label that marked the polarity and current setting. Jay replyed to emails very quickly and was also very helpful with any questions I had.

Great work Jay, I will be ordering again!

So it is now ready for your (new style) 4171 host! (you will need a 1.5mm Allen wrench for the set screw)

Where did you get this module? It looks like the diode will be held in place by the small threaded brass piece....

I got it from a store that this forum does not let me link to lol. But you can get one from o-like. though i'm not sure if its compatible with the same sized diodes. here is a link

the one on o-like is a 5.6mm, is this the same size as the 8x diodes and other blu-ray ? I never really looked.
 
I never tried to put a diode in it, but just visually, it looks like it is made for a 5.6mm diode, and the brass threaded nut will screw in the back to hold the diode in...

The package arrived today, I'm very pleased (understatement) with the quality of your work.

The packaging was top notch, the shipping time.....from CA to TN, do you have a teleportation thingy....we don't know about? :D
