It's a Long Closed Can. It's been running since we got the anodized Kryton Grooves. Igor's got one of these running at 520mA

Holy crap, Dave. That laser was BEGGING fo a Meredith Red.

I have zero luck running reds at >=400mA.

Long closed cans seem to often be hot. My wife's red runs at 273mW at just 350mA with Jayrob's Meredith Red.

Hmmm... I graphed a LCC to about 420mA's and it died at that current.

So I figured that they were good at 395mA's. I sure hope I'm wrong! I thought nothing in the 5.6mm size was as good as a long open can, but it seems that you are breaking the records again! :beer:

Very interested in what kind of time you have on it at that current, and if you go with less than 1 a minute duty??

Nice! Yep...

The 'optomized for red' Meredith (that they no longer sell), is the best for red.

By the way, I have a few left, but I am also testing other lenses for red, and will soon have a 650-G-1 glass lens mod just like my 405-G-1 glass lens modification that will be just as good, or maybe a tad better than these Meredith 'optimized for red' lenses that have been replaced by their broadband lenses. :)

224mW after (+21%)

My 405-G-1, Meredith Glass Lens (Fit for Aixiz) & Keychain CR2 arrived today!


Exceptionally built, the lenses are clean and the design is simply effective :)

(On a side note, Jay, I think you should consider adding a "Teflon Option" on all your lenses. I'm pretty sure many people would like their lenses to come with teflon tape around the threads already fit for a no-spring assembly).

The Keychain CR2 has the best clicky of all time (insert Kanye West meme), it has a satisfactory click sound and feel, yet it's hard enough to press so you'll be 100% sure it won't get accidentally turned on inside your pocket. And I want to stress "pocket", since I didn't imagine it would be so small, it's actually around 0,7mm shorter than a regular sized <1mW red crapointer. The threading on the tailcap is really smooth. Don't be fooled by the small size of the host, it is NOT even near of what I'd call cheaply constructed. AT ALL.
