I am selling a Luxeon Star White LED. I pulled it out of a brand new flashlight and i don't need it. It works great, and is brand new.
The model # is 3406-LXHL-MW1D. It's a great little LED, nice for projects and such.

LXHL-MW1D, White Luxeon Star Features:
40 - Lumens
350mA - Max Drive Current
3.4Vf - Forward Voltage
5500K - Color Temperature
Lambertian Radiation Pattern
Rated at 1 Watt

Asking $5, shipping included.

You can get a cree Q5 at DX for $1.50 more, and that is 3x as bright at 350mA. I think that is the reason for the lack of interest

Not really. The luxeon just has a warmer color temp making it easier on the eyes.

I work at Lumileds and I have seen the Cree parts on the test plates. The lenses are a joke and pop out when the LED gets too how. Also, considering the Cree package was designed by a Lumileds engineer who was fired for a failed project, I would be hesitant to say the Cree is better quality. I would go with the Luxeon.

I haven't seen much development from luxeon in a while..

But I like the K2's.

All the development has been in the die, there is very little development in the actual package. The efficency is off the charts compared to anything else. There are 120 lm/W parts on the market already.
