Re: fs: LPM$165/pen laser $100 shipped

Is your laserbee circuit board solder masked?
I read somewhere that only their soldermasked boards are
datalogging upgradeable and come with the backlight already working.

But like I said above, at least yours is mounted in a box and theirs is not.
Yours still looks interesting, now to find some financing :)

im not sure, i bought it received it and sent it to kenom and had it placed in the box and had the back light installed in there and still works great  SOLD pen laser left

Jake's unit is the same one I had (and subsequently sold). It is the generation before the current one. It is NOT soldermasked. As far as whether it is upgradeable or not, I have no idea. This unit was built before Laserbee started making things "removable" and activating the backlight. Laserbee could tell you if it can be upgraded. The second owner of my unit is still happy with his.

I personally think that this unit needs to be checked for calibration, but that is VERY easy to do. That should NOT stop you from buying it if you want it. Just use a middle man who has a quality meter. Jake thinks I'm after him, so you should use someone else, but whoever the middle man is could easily check this for calibration and re-calibrate it if needed. ALL meters need to be re-calibrated from time-to-time.

Peace,
dave

Re: fs: LPM$165/pen laser $100 shipped

SenKat said he would re-calibrate it but then i posted it up for sale, but I'm pretty sure senkat wouldn't mind doing it for the new owner if u just ask nicely. or daguin can do it if he likes, and for a middle man i don't care who it is as long as its sold to some one who need a nice meter

Re: fs: LPM$165/pen laser $100 shipped

I'm pretty sure these can be upgraded to the datalogging feature. Also, he could recalibrate it for you as the newer Laserbee's are calibrated to a Newport 1825-c rather than the Lasercheck which was used to calibrate the older models.

This is a pretty good deal, and the laserbee is a nice unit IMO.

Re: fs: LPM$165/pen laser $100 shipped

they sure are nice units i no there are a few reviews on them on here if any one is entrested or needs more info on it and i just emailed laserbee and asked if the older style meters can be upgraded so u can record ur readings on to ur pc

You never followed through on this, Jake. I even offered to assist with getting your rep back on target by independantly testing some of your laser builds, but was blown off. I REALLY don't mind helping out, but getting blown off like that makes me not want to offer in the first place. Just an FYI for you, Jake.

As far as your "new" meter goes - what kind did you get ? (like from where, what type is it, what did it cost, etc...)
