sorry for the double post. i am confused. is it a stand alone device that i can plug into my usb and get power readings on my comp? the wording is a little ambiguous...

What is being offered is a Hobbyist LPM named the LaserBee 2.5W USB
It is a stand alone USB powered device... It is not an add-on...

You install our NEW PC Data Logging Interface software supplied on
a CD.
The CD also includes the User Instructions and any required Drivers.

Then you plug the LaserBee 2.5 Watt USB Thermopile Head into the
LaserBee enclosure.

And finally... you plug the LaserBee 2.5 Watt USB into a Free USB
port on your computer...

There is no LCD display on this LPM.....
More details will be posted on the 1st thread in the near future..

I'm glad this new LPM peaks some interest...

I think the idea is similar to a USB o-scope...
No readout on-board, only through PC.

I believe in the first red part he is saying that its power supply is the usb not a wall outlet. The second part confuses me too.

Edit: maybe there is 2 parts? An enclosure and a thermopile.

There will be a small enclosure that houses the electronic, which is powered by your computers USB port. Then a thermopile which cant be housed in an enclosure (for accuracy reasons) will be plugged into the enclosure.

Exactly bobhaha....

In the other post I was replying to the question of... if it was an
"add-on" to a LaserBee I or II...
I meant to say it is a complete functioning LPM powered by the
computer's USB port and not an accessory to a LaserBee LPM.
Sorry I didn't make that clearer...

BTW... I posted 2 SS pics of the new PC Interface Data Logging
software.

Hey guys.... I'm not going to Hype up our new ultra affordable LaserBee 2.5W LPM...

Once all the data is posted... then and only then I would like potential buyers
to decide if this New USB LPM is for them...

We always field test our products before we release them for sale... We don't
want the customer to do the debugging like some other companies....
Microsoft comes to mind...LOL

It's test equipment, not some artsy toy - make it look like so... at least use a readable font! You don't see other programmers signing their names all over program windows, LOL.

OK, rant over. I'm very interested in a meter like so... I'm obsessed with USB connectivity!

The "Optimized by William (something, can't read it)" part.
The software looks very clean - and it's interrupted by that "signature".

Just my personal opinion. I can be OCD over certain things.
