FS: Host + Heatsink $15

Any comment on my question? :thanks:

The stock PCB board contains a spring with 14 LED's soldered onto it.

The heat sinks are the negative contact point. You'll want a case negative, or case positive module.

The other contact point is the pad of a switch that sits directly under the heat sink, much like the dorcy junior does (at least the old ones)

as for fitting the entire aixiz module, if i recall correctly, the module falls just short of fitting entirely.

This can be easily fixed though if you'd like me to. The module runs out of room when it hits the contact pad for the side click switch. This switch is bent over a plastic spacer that sits inside the host. I can simply bore this plastic piece down to allow the contact pad to sit further away from the heatsink.

This will probably be done to all the host regardless as it will no affect anything other than ensuring and entire aixiz fits. As it is now, there is a lot of wasted space where the clicky switch is located.

On another note, I'll include the original PCB with the long spring and LEDS for those who are using a micro boost for a 445nm build and need the spring for their driver's + contact.

The woman is going to be gone tomorrow, so tomorrow i am going to go stock up on 1 1/4" aluminum stock and start pumping out the heat sinks. That way i can ship off the orders the same day i get the hosts.

sorry, i like to ramble :D

Mohrenberg always does a good job with his host, and heatsinks...and is getting better with each one. I would suggest to all that want to put together their own build to invest in one of these...also just cant beat the price!
Thanks Mohrenberg

I just got a message from the seller of these hosts. He told me he only has 10 left, which I told him i wanted.
So i'll have those 10, and 5 others i have randomly bought.
So aside from these twenty, which one 1 is left of, there will be 15 more in the future, then i don't know if there will be any more.

He said hes going to try and get more to sell me, hopefully he does.

I've got to get some sleep. Seeya later.

Alright
This batch is all spoken for right now.

I'm on my way to go stock up on aluminu, and start on the heat sink.

Got it.

I started working on the heat sinks today.
Maybe me realize how bad i need a band saw! I got 7 pieces cut off the 3 foot rod of aluminum.
It had started raining outside and with being in missouri it's already humid enough. Eventually my arms were jello and i was covered in sweat and walked away.
I'll get the rest of them cut, turned, and drilled tomorrow. should be ready just in time for the flashlights to arrive.

WAAA
Looks like i need to speed up my work.

USPS - Track & Confirm

The flashlights are on their way in. Normally this means they will arrive at my door tomorrow on the 2nd.
So I should have them here with me on Friday and will be packaging them up for shipping.
Anyone who hasn't paid by the time the flashlight get here, i'll shoot you another PM.

Question about the flashlights. Are the buttons reverse clicky or forward? Would be amazing if they were forward, but it seems all the cheap flashlights I come across (DX lights) are all reverse clicky. Aside from one extremely rare DX light I own, usually only Surefire flashlights are forward clickys.

Would be kind of nice to be able to have a momentary on, then a full click on if we wanted. I really have no idea why more flashlight companies don't do this. Surefire must have a patent on forward clickys or something.

My LED-lenser have forward clicky, the Fenix is reverse.

Yeah, I have gotten a few different flashlights in the past with forward clickys as well. What confuses me to no end is why all flashlights are not forward clicky by default.

Not only do you have the option for a constant-on click, but you also get the added benefit of a momentary switch. Which for anything light related, is a godsend to have.

It must just cost more to manufacture or something. That is the only thing I can think of. Cause there is no reason at all anybody would want a reverse clicky over a forward clicky that I can think of.

hey mo, if you don't mind me asking, where do you get 3ft rods of 1-1/4" aluminum? and how much do you pay for it?
