Maybe you can just dabble in the safe end of the hobby for a while (5mW-ish). Like multi color builds. :)

yh that would be fun, but the "tempation" would be too great, anyhow, I have plenty of hobbies lined up, atm (like right now at this very minute) I'm making some rockets, should be fun.

Re: FS GhostDrive2 238mA Wires Soldered

Lol, alright sounds good, and always remember to wear......rocket goggles? If you ever get into aquariums hit me up.

Re: FS GhostDrive2 238mA Wires Soldered

Funnily enough I was into fishes and stuff, but a glass tank cost way to much, and I wante tropical fish, ended up getting some goldfish, minnows and danios in a 20litre plastic tank, then the fish died so I packed the stuff away, anyways, do you know any cheap glass tanks about 30-40 litres, I wouldn't mind getting one and starting a fish tank thingy

Re: FS GhostDrive2 238mA Wires Soldered

Well I've got a 50gal and a 3gal atm and I know "3gal - 10 liter" tanks come pretty cheap and it doesn't get much better than a 3gal with live plants, snails, and cardinal tetras. Just seed the tank's filtration as you start and the fish should all be fine. Personal preference is that nothing powers the biological process in a tank better than sunlight, have had plants pearl off sunlight but never artificial lighting.

Re: FS GhostDrive2 238mA Wires Soldered

I think you misunderstood me, I want tropical fishes, not plants (maybe a few, but mostly fishes) and keeping the aquarium in the sun promotes algae growth, which is annoying and ugly.

Re: FS GhostDrive2 238mA Wires Soldered

True...although in my 3gal I've got live plants and plenty of sunlight and literally 0 algae. From what I've read if things are in balance the plants out compete the algae for nutrients and none grows.

But I understand not wanting to deal with algae it can ruin the tank experience. Do you have specific fish you'd like to keep? Or are you looking for a specific tank aesthetic?

Re: FS GhostDrive2 238mA Wires Soldered

Fish I wanna keep:
Guppies
Danios
Tetras (especially neon )
Minnows
Swordtail
Minnow
Platy

and also any other small fish (that doesnt have whiskers growing out of its face)

Re: FS GhostDrive2 238mA Wires Soldered

All schooling fish best kept in groups of 6+. I'd go 100 liters minimum with killer filtration.

As far as bio-load goes of these fish on your tank
Guppies - med/high
Danios - low
Tetras (especially neon ) - low (cardinal tetras are better versions of these)
Minnows - highs
Swordtail - med/high
Minnow - high
Platy - med/high

Re: FS GhostDrive2 238mA Wires Soldered

100litres :O wow dude, thats like a swimming pool (I think).

Re: FS GhostDrive2 238mA Wires Soldered

Lol, assuming you had 6 of each of those fish, but it's totally possible to keep each of them happy only schooling with other species. Big tanks are fun though. GL

Re: FS GhostDrive2 238mA Wires Soldered

Big tanks are also scary, I was thinking more along the lines of 1metre by 50cm max.
Btw, congratz on getting engaged (sorry if you don't call it engaged, I'm not christian so I dont know)

Re: FS GhostDrive2 238mA Wires Soldered

Thanks man, appreciate it. Yeah we call it engaged, I put a ring on her finger and asked her a short question, poof, engaged. :yh:
