I have for sale a (so far) unique offering..
This is a DT0811 Blu-ray laser in a small project box. The fact that is "open-can" is actually not the original intention, but saved the diode and made it unique. When I harvested the diode I busted the window . I carefully removed the can the "rough-and dirty" way, successfuly. I clipped and peeled the can carefully with a tiny pair of sidecutters.
The diode is in an AiXiZ module, with a clear acrylic/aperture opened lens. There is a washer heatsink, bonded to the module with arctic silver. It is driven by a fixed value rckstr driver pushing ~120mA. It has a momentary pushbutton switch, and is powered by a 9v battery.
Everything inside is well-epoxied in place, including foam bumpers around the battery to prevent damage when changing batteries. The lid closes tight on the battery, so this pointer has a nice solid feel, with NO rattles It is small and fits nicely in-hand.
I would strongly recommend a one-minute on/off duty cycle with this laser. I have run it for 2 minutes at a time, and the module was quite warm, but not hot to the touch(the famous lip-test). The pointer has worked flawlessly for a week now since built, with at least 100 on-off cyles and ~2 hours run time. The battery is still going strong, but this will be shipped with a NEW Duracell installed Also , since this is open-can, PLEASE do not remove the lens unless necessary to prevent damage to the diode.
The pics show the inside and out of the pointer(outside of the module painted black), The diode in the module, and the obligatory beam and dot pics. The beam shows a bright area with smoke, and also no-smoke. The dot is on white paper, focused to infinity, and shows how well this pointer lights things up when they flouresce
This pointer also burns as well as a ~160mW red, pops balloons@10 feet, and lights white-tipped matches with ease. I unfortunately have no meter to test the ouput, but by Drlava's graph(and being open-can), it should be putting out ~80mW ;D
EDIT- SOLD
Payment by PayPal. Please ask questions in the thread, but PM me if seriously interested for payment and shipping details. If there is no serious interest here, I will list this laser on eBay.
