FS: Cree host + Heat sink

So are they $20 or $30 i keep seeing different prices. If $20 ill take one and send payment tonight.

I'm interested as well, and the two prices I see are confusing me as well. What's the price for this host? I'd really like to buy one!

:takeit::paypal:
These are $30 each and I'm sure well worth it....Mohrenberg always does a very good job.

finishing these up. I sent out a msg to the members who wanted the apollo kit first. Once they have decided if they want one of these instead, i'll post whats left and sell them off.

I got one and its great! Havent had time to assemble it but its a great design!

Mohrenberg I am still interested in the apollo kit if it ever becomes available!

Outlook is not good. I really don't want to do business with those people again. They failed me twice, so i'm not too confident on a third time.

I've got this new 18650 host on the way from price angels. It has a focusing head so I am hoping it can be made with the same design features as this oen and the apollo. I love the way it looks.

It'll also run the same price as these

I assembled the laser today and im very happy with it except the divergence seems way way worse compared to when it was set up exactly the same in a test heat sink. Same lens and everything.

Any ideas?

Make sure you can focus beyond infinity, and up-close for burning. If not, then maybe you have your lens sitting too far to the front.

it will go beyond infinity and burn up close but the divergence is worse for some reason no matter how i focus it.

So you can reach infinity and "burning" focus?

That's the only two i test for. it should be able to screw in far enough to hit infinity and then start getting big again. it should also screw out to burn up close.

is there some mechanically wrong with it or are you saying for some reason the divergence is different when it's inside the host?

I'm really not sure. I would say around 10.
Other than the ones i've already got finished, which are 0 now...I need to hold off on sales until i finish some other orders. Should be around a week.

The focus is well within the desired range as you can focus from a large spray to a tight beam and continue to a large circle again. I just noticed that when it was in my test host I was able to burn a very small hole in a cardboard poster across the room. Now it does not focus to such a fine hole when set up in the same manner. Im not sure why as I see no reason for this im just saying that the divergence is worse. Maybe something is on the diode or lense causing focusing problems...im still trying to figure it out.

Problem resolved. It was loose elements in the optics. No fault of the host what so ever as I sort of assumed.

I just saw your post in the Apollo host thread. Bummer on the news. It looked like an awesome host for a sweet price. :(

Are you still planning on offering more of these? I think it'd be a nice host for the 6x I have on the way. I'd probably take one of those Guidesman hosts too if you offer them again. I have extra diodes and an extra 16850 laying around (or will if my DX order ever arrives) and I can't let that happen can i? ;)
