Re: FS:Guidesman 18650 Host+Heatsink $20

no big deal just glad to have it now. Im waiting on a module and then ill assemble it either with a 1.5A 445 or a 300mW red and post some pictures here. Looks like it will be a very easy build with all the room in this host!

Yup, and the clicky switch spacer can be hollowed out for more room. AND if you rip the plastic out of the inside of the tail cap you'll find two metal spacers that can be removed for even more room...

Re: FS:Guidesman 18650 Host+Heatsink $20

Well it seems that the Grey and Red hosts are slightly different in size. My gold dollar does not fit in the clicky compartment on the gray one like it does with the red body. For the gray it can however be mounted on the back of the heatsink like the hotlights unit.

Anyway I made a 1.8W unit tonight.:D

Here is the one I put together tonight. 1.8W with a high drain 18650 capable of 4.5A Max discharge.:eg:

Different size? Really thats too bad I was planning on using the gold dollar method you posted. Is silver significantly bigger or smaller?

It is just a hair smaller. There is still two way to do the gold dollar trick on them. I have two done. One I used a power drill and board out the top a little. This allowed me to get a coin in with the drivers facing down into the pill area.

Also I did one with the dollar adhered to the bottom of the heatsink like I do with the hotlight units.

did you have to trim the edges of the coin down to adhere it to the heatsink?

I grind down both sides of the coin flat.

Also finished the gray one this morning.

I've got them all packaged up and the paid orders are going out first thing..US buyers should have tracking #'s in their e-mail.

There are still 4 left that need shipping labels on them :D
