FS: 90mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser $160

Re: FS: 90mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser

What kind of lens did it come with and how easy is it to change out? Is it a regular axiz module? Oh man I can't wait to get mine :)

It's the standard AixiZ housing, so I guess it's the standard red coated lens. I'm not really sure what's involved in changing out the lens to a 405 coated one. It'd be nice if the new lens was already inside the plastic module with threads. Then you just twist, pop out, & pop in and you're all done.

Re: FS: 90mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser

Just got mine back (v3.0 upgraded to 3.1) and at first I was not impressed when I turned it on. (room very bright) I could clearly tell it was brighter but not seven fold. Of course the eyes work that way with 400nm. Turned back the lens a bit and made the mahogany table smoke - instantly! Waving the minuscule beam waist across my arm cuts hair like a razor along with the pungent smell of singed hair! It lights off firecrackers instantly. So yeah it's damn powerful. Gotta watch those eyes though with these! I'm still seeing after images from a reflection off a doorknob. ::)

I have a lorus lumibrite wristwatch (dial very similar to GITD tile) and can light it up and noticed if I hold the beam stationary and turn it off the dot is actually DIMMER like the GITD material is being excited past its saturation point if that makes sense? The dot on anything that fluoresces appears as annoying bright as my RPL300 on 2!

I have a 32" WEGA in the bedroom and drew a bunch of big circles on the screen and killed the lights and the afterimage looks stunningly like the ring (in the movie The Ring). Creepy! ;D

Re: FS: 90mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser

Hi again

I have been thinking a lot again and came to the conclusion that what I actually need is not a variable adjustment of the power output, but just 2 levels, namely 5mW and the maximum tested stable operation setting. I was wondering if it would be easier for you to implement a "switch" with wich you can choose between the 5mW and xxx mW setting.

Thanks for the info.
