Selling my Sci-Fi laser 7W 445nm laser. i have a ophir head LPM but it instantly goes to 4W and cannot go higher so i cant 100% LPM it, but this thing is a beast.
I had some trouble at first with buying it but got a replacement and works like a charm.
Selling it because some trouble in real life, need some money unfortunatly :(

If you want a sci-fi laser this is probably a good way to get one quick.

I most definitely am interested in this laser if it is still available I can purchase it ASAP if there are no other buyers in front of me. I can pay papal or whichever payment method would suit you best. also how much run time does this unit have on it and could you possible let me know if it would ship inside the USA or outside of it.

Thank You

You have responses asking to buy, did you sell? Another member just posted a thread looking for one.

Re: FS 7W 445nm laser with batteries

Ricker had one for sale, 7W arcane for 200 dollars, no battery extension but the same otherwise, well his is silver.

How safe are those diodes running at 4.5A? His ad says approx 1hr runtime. Do these diodes have the capability to survive for a while? I'd pounce on that offer, but scared I'll get 5mins out of it and then gets toasted.

They love 4.5a 5.0 is starting to push it and 5.5a you can start to fold back, but 4.5 amps is no problem.
I have several and they have been going strong for months.
Just let it cool when it gets warm, mine have held up great.

p.s. I know Ricker said his has the SXD driver, that's what you want as it has built in protections, I don't know what driver Borgqueens has.

Re: FS 7W 445nm laser with batteries

When you buy used you take the word of the seller as far as the condition and diodes do eventually wear out, but for 80 dollars you can replace the diode, but it should be in good shape as these do last, mine have many hours and burn strong.

I think he has a LPM so ask for a reading.

Re: FS 7W 445nm laser with batteries

I have run my NUBM44 in a Edit: Mace of Doom host for a long time, no problems. Just be sure there is enough heat sink so it can't get too hot. What too hot is as far as reducing the life of the diode the way we use them, I don't know, but I generally don't run mine to where the heat sink rises above perhaps 115 F. I suppose that is too hot for the 10,000 hour life specification many of the manufacturers give, isn't it? I went to DTR's web site looking for a spec sheet and didn't come up with one. Gotta get back to work now, if someone has one or a link, please post.

Edit: back for a break from work: I don't know what the temperature of the case/mounting structure for the diode is when a heat sink is at such and such a temperature, haven't seen any papers which indicate the common differences of temperature, would like to find that info too, if someone knows. Of course, mounting methods would impact the results, the material the heat sink is made of and its mass too.

I can't find a spec sheet for this diode, I did find threads here from others looking for the same thing in the past, so far, nothing. Anyone know which projectors these are being used with?

Link to Mace of Doom Host: http://laserpointerforums.com/f49/m...photo-lens-converted-beam-expander-95082.html

If you are impressed with the power output capability of this diode I can understand why, but at the same time, its divergence, unless the beam is expanded to an inch or more, is very wide. The beam spreads very quickly, so quickly the beam becomes a fan of light after a few hundred feet.

Re: FS 7W 445nm laser with batteries

Im beginning to belive that hest isnt much of an issue with the nubm 44 altho i wouldn't intentionally overheat mine. Mine came on by its self while I dozed off and when I woke to find it on and turn it off it blistered my right hand. It is still going strong, a very hardy diode indeed
