Yep that's closer than I get most of the time but I ended up needing more material than I thought I would when I clamped the jaws down on it and I didn't want to take it out and re-clamp it.
With these cheep Chinese lathes if you clamp something down make a cut and then re-clamp it the center changes as much as .0005 +/-.0005 and lets just say that's bad when you like to make precision items.
So I ended up with an excess of .020" material :crackup: + what was in the jaws...
