the beam is incredibly tight also, prob around 1mm or less coming out of the aperture , it's almost dark so i'm about to take it outside and light up the town :D

know whats even sicker? The damn thing just died on me.
beam is weak now...doesn't even register on the laserbee.....

well.....glad it happened here than after i sold it to someone.....

gonna have to have a chat with susie....$70 for a module that breaks after about 10 minutes of run time.....

i'm pretty angry about it.....took almost a month to get here and just dies like this?

it died in the middle of a video so i have a little video of it's death lol

That's rediculous, you waited a month for that module, and it was 50% overspec, that was great while it lasted....

don't feel bad Mohrenberg i got my 2.. 100mw modules and one was broke from the start

she offered to replace it. but it's almost not even worth the trouble.....
I'll go ahead and send it back, ask for a refund, and then repurchase it.
Thats the only logical way i see it as i know there is no way for me to mail it back and get a new one in 15 days (before the 45 day window for paypal dispute is gone)....

that way if they refund and i rebuy it it opens up a new transaction and i can dispute it if something go wrong.

why does everything have to come from china?!?!?!
i just hate it so much.

i dislike our dependence on china as well. but i have a 100mw modules that runs at about 98 or so, according to jayrob, and mine's been running fine for going on a month of steady use now. i use a custom heatsink from jake21

Hello Mohrenberg,
Nice to see you got your laserbee up and running!
Mine works fine too, I bought the deluxe kit with it and am still putting it together…. hopefully done today or tomorrow.

Regarding your green laser, I have the 120-150mW module from Susie and find that the output will vary greatly with the amount of voltage applied.
It almost seems like the module is not a constant current driver… (don’t quote me on this) and will continue to pump out more power as more voltage is applied.
I haven’t looked into it too much but… a good rule of thumb would be to make sure the battery voltage is as close to 3.0V to preserve life. (Susie notes a working voltage of 3.0~4.2V)

I don’t know if this might have had anything to do with your situation but hey…. the modules aren’t cheap.
I still love those green modules though! Tight beam, low divergence and low splatter (At least compared to my leadlight)

That's a good point - I've killed a couple of cr2-powered greenies by running them with the Juice 3.6v batteries (which can actually put out in some cases 4.42v when charged) ...

Also try checking the + contact from the moduole to the heatsink and the heatsink to host, the green modules can be finicky if you are providing the + current to the module without a nice, tight pressfit (such as if you are using a setscrew to hold it, etc)

Just a thought...
