Fried my new Sci fi laser...

@ J4K3ST3R Sometimes we have people who do the exact same mistake as you, but they come and make a thread complaining how its the builders fault for not putting a sticker inside the laser or because the driver used does not have reverse polarity protection etc,
So Its Very good to see you accept your mistake loud and clear with good understanding!
Good On you + Rep If i Can
Eitan will look after you either way!

Hi,
Sad to hear that after you waited so long for delivery that stinks badly.
Hey not to be a wise guy but there's an old saying i think others have heard .

If all else fails read the directions .
At least it will be repaired that was a nice gesture on his part..

Rich:)

New module will be out this Wed. Keep the old one no need to send it back.

It is okay , it happens to the best of the best. I killed so many diodes in my life that I can not count them :beer:

All will be well in time and yes I have done the reverse polarity thing in a cheapie red 650nm in a 301 host "I know it doesnt compare" but thinking it was the same as a 532nm I kept the battery in the wrong way and "repeatedly" played with the switches, now that is dumb not to mention just checking some modules from fastech that I waited for ever for and not even putting a tiny bit of electrical tape on even one wire connect from the battery box and have them touch. Hopefully these errors make us more conciense and like RedCowboy has said here and in another thread on this subject I mark all my lasers now in an OCD type addiction with nail polish dot and a dap of clear coat over it. I guess its a laser guys initiation:).......By the way like others have mentioned kudos for taking the blame and not crying wolf

@TheJoker
It's threads like this that go to show just how good a business-man you really are. I am glad you do things like this because when we defend you it gives us plenty of ammo for the hateful people out there.

that's awesome that he replaced it for you. But is it really that hard to polarity protect these drivers :(.

My condolences. Hopefully you won't have to wait two months or more for a replacement, as I currently am.

Agreed, well done Eitan.
It's very re-assuring to know that he's always willing to make things right for his customers.
