I had posted in another thread in the red section that I wondered what happened to the class 4 reds in the 650nm range as I couldn't find any sellers since the 638nm came out which in my opinion has a slight orange tint to it. I happen to own a 1W+ laserbtb 650nm from a couple years ago when some of us bought them in a group buy sponsored by Off road freak (where are you?).
Happened to see Hap post he might buy one of these so looked and lo and behold they sell a 150mW AND a 1W PL-E Pro:
PL-E Pro 650nm RED Laser 100mw and 1000mw

You can get it in black or silver at for $150 or $290 (1W) and a beam expander for $90 instead of $100 if you buy it with the laser.
I also noticed there's a $10 off coupon advertised on the main page 201603DEAL but I'm not sure if that is for everything.

I consider this a great deal because I don't even know where else you can buy a 1W from and my bet is most members don't have a powerful one in that wavelength especially as there are so many new members since they basically went away after the big 638nm reveal.

Hoping some of you guys jump on this before they stop selling them like everyone else.

What diode do you guys think the 1W is using? I've only seen c-mounts readily available at that power in 650-660 recently.

Is that 1w 650nm a single mode?

No chance. Wouldn't be surprised if the beam quality is worse than the high power blues and greens we're all familiar with.

I've only ever seen 1W 650s in C-mount or TO-3 so I'd imagine it'd be C-mount.

Through searching around prior to finding it I concluded that they must be C-mount. What's great is those who don't have one can still buy one at the moment:)

PL660 -1000 660nm 1000-1020mW 5minutes on /15seconds off ~ $289.80 + shippingSee: PL 660nm 100-1000

My choice if I had to choose however, would be JetLasers PL-E Pro 650nm, 1W - higher quality - more features --best customer service

IDK. I think I would be hard pressed trying to justify spending that kind of money for a multimode with poor divergence in that wavelength. I might consider building one if the diode price was right, though.

No wonder I didn't see the laserbtb one. They have it as a 660nm when my original is labeled 650nm. All the same. That's the one I and some others have. Honestly I think my beam and dot look pretty good for what it is. I'll have to take a few pics tomorrow. Too tired now.
