Blord. i was thinking to make you a new signature quote.

" I am the Blord, lower your shields and surrender your lasers. I will assimilate your lasers technological distinctiveness into my own. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!! "

The laser has arrived faster than I thought. You surely got it before December.

Its in good hands. The sizing is perfect for me, with a nice heft to it. Excellent beam divergence .
thanks again!

Blord,if I haven't said it before those blue hosts are beautiful. I've always appreciated color coded hosted that match the wavelength of the laser. There are too few of these type build out there.

Thanks for the comment !

These are complete lasers, not just the host. Specify your need, there is a big difference between 1 and 2 Watt build.

Re: For sale: 2.2W blue lasers in blue 501B host.

Are they visible in day light? I had a 200mw green off ebay about 7 or more years ago which was impressive. Would a 2 watt blue be more powerful. As in brighter and would be burn more? I see that green lasers are far more expensive.
Whats is the diffrence other than colour that makes the price so much different

Theses are lovely builds. Thumbs up from

This laser is much more powerful than a 200mW green (or any color 200mW), and will burn very well.

Daytime visibility is always a challenge, even for high powered lasers. It is hard to compete with the sun. You may see the beam faintly if it is overcast or foggy.

Green lasers (532nm for example) cost more because they are far more complex than red or blue.

Blue/Red lasers start with a laser emitting diode which can be driven directly into the lens.

Green lasers start at 808nm (infrared), which is then fed/pumped into a crystal which bumps it to 1064 nm. Then into another crystal that doubles the frequency (cuts wavelength in half), and that results in the 532nm output.

This is also why green lasers sometimes dim at low temperatures. It is not actually less powerful, but instead you are getting more infrared (non-visible)light out than green. This is due to the change in characteristics of the crystals under different temperatures...

Great bit of info for a novice like me.
Can they not be made more cheaply. Or is the infrared diode expensive?
I will have one of these laser when i have the funds very soon.
Whats postage like to the uk?

Whats would the total cost be including
Postage? And whats customs like with them? Whats the chances of
It getting to me?
Thanks

@mainefungi : Thanks for the explination. :)

Shipping to the UK is cheaper, $15 for a registered shipping. Within the EU the package will arrived just fine or I will refund you the money.
