Fog?

well people can breathe fog machine for for hours on end at parties so i doubt your chinchilla would like die from it - if you're worried you could put the cage in the bathroom or something while you fog an area
chinchilla's can be extremely sensitive tho, for example if you uses cedar wood chips as a substrate they can die from the cedar fumes :o expensive little critters too.... but anyways, i think the bathroom idea sounds like a winner ;)

how can i make a machine. is there heating or something. if so the stuff to use need to be easy to get (smoke making chemicals).

In theory all you need is a tank, heater of some kind, a pump and some kind of tube to pump it through. All a fogger does, as far as I know, is sucks the fluid through the heater, the heater heats up the fluid turning it to fog and the pump spits it out the front as a big cloud of smoke.

I think it would be cheaper to buy one though.

jeez I didn't know the little fuzzballs were so sensitive ;D

And yes all the fog machine does is dump fog liquid onto a heater - but they also force the expanding gasses through a nozzle, I know if the temperature and pressure aren't right it doesn't work as well or you can burn the fog fluid which smells nasty

Canned air and my computer case. Spray in there and this big cloud of fly feces and other airborne crap fills the room.

Alternatively, cooking peanut oil until it smokes on your stove (delicious to put over Asian foods) really makes a great atmosphere for shining your laser... albeit your house smells like smoke.

Remember to bring the lasers along camping too. It's great fun to see it in the campfire smoke.
