I would like to inject a human with some toxic dayglo paint. A human that likes lasing animals for fun, that is. Then I could have endless hours of screaming fun writing on them with my BR, occasionally hitting their eyes by mistake, then leave them to die from a melanoma. Sounds perfect, really.

Any volunteers?   [smiley=evil.gif]

The Nobel Prize for chemistry this year was for the isolation of GFP, green fluorescent protein, from jellyfish.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Fluorescent_Protein.

So yep, jellyfish fluoresce, and that fact won some people a Nobel Prize.

Sucks to be Douglas Prasher http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_Prasher, too.  He worked on the stuff in the 80s and early 90s, but ran out of funding before he could finish.  After losing his funding, he could not get another grant, or even find another job in the science field.  He fell out of the field, and ended up as a $10/hour limo driver.  Now, 3 others shared the Nobel Prize for the topic he had spent his career on and he didn't even get a cut, because Nobel prizes can only be split 3 ways and he was by far the least known of the 4 major people who had contributed. Two of the Prize winners really did extensions of Prasher's work, after contacting him and learning about what he had done.  Sucks bigtime, they still have their great careers and a Nobel Prize, and he was his limo to drive.  The world isn't fair.
