So i am going to drive a flexdrive V5 to 1100 mA. I want to heatsink it so it will last longer so i have a few questions.
Which side should be attached to the heatsink?
Do i glue it with any thermal glue?

-Thanks

Good question. I have a similar project and would like to know the answer. I believe the side which needs heatsinking is the opposite to the one with the coil, but am not sure which the IC part is.

Typically the flexdrive gets hot on the side with the two black chips... aka THE SIDE OPPOSITE of the potentiometer. Heatsink the two chips in this picture.

This picture is JAYROBS picture in his 18650 hosts. He makes great kits too. Should check that guy out.
