Hey I am looking at the V5 pdf documentation on your site and can't really see what is different than the V4...

Is it just the reverse polarity protection?
 
Yes, it's basically just the reverse polarity protection. I also tweaked a few other things like the ranges a little but nothing major. For example to reach the common request of 115mA now it's no longer necessary to remove the end range resistor.
 
wow nice update dr. lava,

actually i have a v4 just arrived now from glenn, i have successfully built a pen type BR using Jayrobs chorme and your driver.. compared to my boblaser 405nm and o-like the one i built is ok.. im planning to buy more of the flexdrive because here in the philippines AAA batteries and cr123a are common..
