FGK: ~400 mW CNI 532nm Module

God damn dude! Scars much? Just curious what being hit in the face with an SUV does to ones appearance

lol I saw this module on ebay (or at least those pics!) cool stuff. looks really messy though output wise. probably just dirty though.

Bear in mind it is uncollimated. Also I will probably clean the optics and maybe replace the IR filter. The host I am putting it in is the most exciting part though. I am not too worried about the output.

even if its uncollimated, it shouldn't appear that messy. but the OC is likely just dirty though. a word of caution...clean with lens tissue. nothing else. its very VERY easy to scratch. pure lab acetone is best using the drag and drop method and some air.

Hmm. I will need to buy a new lens as well so it makes sense to get it all at once. I think I will wait until I have the module in hand so I can see what is going on.

It's actually not messy, that's just a camera effect. If the dot itself had been photographed, the camera auto exposure would have gone way down, and what looks like splash wouldn't have shown up.

that'd be a good idea. I need some more tissue myself, as well as some applicators and I was thinking of getting some 690nm diodes.

Also, I had a feeling it wasn't as bad as it looked in the picture, but it still may not be a bad idea to give it a quick rinse.

I don't know how much you need, but if I can fit it in a typical mailing envelope I'd be glad to split a box with you or something. Just let me know. All these companies charge so much for shipping lol.

they sell them in boxes or small booklets. and they charge a lot because usually they ship large amounts at a time, to a lab or company...not little 1 thing at a time to a person usually. they likely have a deal with the couriers and such to get a average/flat rate per box since they handle such a huge volume.
