Family Guy or South Park?






South Park: Wonderful cartoon, a satire on modern day life in league with Canterbury Tales...hundreds of years from now society (if we are still here) will be able to get a glimpse into how life revolved in our time see the general problems facing our society/our main vices/flaws of living/politics/threats to our society and will in a way be able to see how society has evolved/changed since then...plus they will laugh their asses off. ;D


Family Guy: Funny cartoon, great first 2 seasons, still funny but nothing meaningful just a bunch of random scenes which albiet funny do not have a deeper or more profound meaning other than being hilarious at times.

As is probably obvious from my avatar I voted for SP!

Pffft.  Waay too offensive.  Both of them are crude and offensive.  I can at least tolerate family guy 90% of the time.  However the final nail in the coffin of south park as far as I'm concern in the TOTAL and unnecessary destruction of a great song "Come sail away" Now this is not to say that the makers of south park cannot make a good movie. I loved basketball and orgasmo was ok.

I like all the shows but SP is definitely the winner. I just love it. The crudeness and offensiveness is what makes it entertaining I think. They can make anything to a parody and is so true, which makes it hilarious.
Good times with weapons, go God go, make love not warcraft and Canada on strike are some of my favourite episodes.

FG makes all of these random things with absolutely no point, but is somehow funny. Something that makes this certain character pissed off lol. I guess there's some competition between SP and FG, it can clearly be seen if you watch SP and it's so frickin funny! xD

The Simpsons is a little old, I mean I've probably seen every episode at least two times, so it's kinda boring.
 
I still like The Simpsons the best.

I've seen every episode several times by now, so I do find them boring to watch now. But that's a stupid reason to say that a show isn't very good (shame on anyone who uses that as a reason >:( ).

The show is brilliant. So many vibrant and interesting characters, so many interesting situations. The classic, the best :)


I also think South Park is brilliant. It's so subtle sometimes, so elegant (despite what the animation style may imply).

Family Guy is funny, but it's meaningless really. Other shows you might walk away and think about some of the things they said, but with Family Guy you just walk away.
 
I love how this is a poll "Which one of the following do you love/hate?"... reminds me of a screenshot from a Fox Sports website saying "Which team will win next week's game: Yes / No"

Yeah, Orgazmo is amazing. Just something in the story of a Mormon getting caught up in the porno industry that made me lmao throughout the whole movie.

South Park because Family Guy just gives you a few cheap laughs. Also there arne't any new simpson episodes at all so it gets really boring watching the same episode a million times.
 
The Simpsons has really gone downhill recently. The newer episodes just can't seem to get back what made the show great. Still the first 8 or so seasons had some great episodes.

I hate Family Guy. It's good for some cheap laughs and that's it. It's basically a bunch of random crap thrown together trying to be funny and it has no deeper meaning. After seeing the episode you never think about it again.

American dad is basically the same as FG.

Southpark is pretty good IMO. It's incredibly offensive at times, but that's what makes it funny.
 
Now days, we have developed high tolerances (for the majority of the public) and our expatiations of entertainment outcome is way too high since the progression of technology, special effects, and our ever growing wisdom... ;D

I personally am a fan of dark, cleaver, subtle humor... and I really can't stand senseless stupidity.  

The Simpsons have allot up that ally, it's a no brainier that that show rocks.  

Family guy, never really dug it, however if its on, I'll leave it.  

South Park gets my vote.  Really blunt spoofs of all the 'major' events that take place in our world that are, in a way, disgusting, and raise a chuckle out of it.

If I had to choose between The Simpsons and Futurama, I'd go with Futurama.

Yeah futurama is awesome, but the latest movie was SO bad that it makes me cringe while I watch the 5 amazing seasons of fry's stupidity :)

Perhaps this is why I like SP so much, the simpsons, futurama, family guy etc. base much of their humor on the stupidity of a character (homer, fry, peter), moving to his idiocy through much of the shows and using it as filler, it is funny dn't get me wrong, but still not on the level (albiet a grotesque and provacative one), where the idiocy is shared by all characters in an alternating way through the seasons, perhaps in an attempt to show us human beings the level of stupidity that we can produce throughout our lives...(just think back in life, if you haven't done something stupid and completely moronic atleast a couple of times in your life, well you haven't lived imo...)
