Yeah, Tom Cruise is probably the absolute opposite of Jack Reacher. Short, too handsome, too well dressed, drives cars, etc. They might as well have cast the Dali Lama; it would be no worse.

There isn't a chance in hell I'm going to go see that movie in theaters. I mean if they did it as a standalone movie, called him just about anything else, it might make for a decent action flick.

As it is, the only audience they are likely to reach will be composed of imbeciles too dumb to read the book, and those who just want to turn off their brains altogether for 90 minutes.

I mean they automatically alienated a core audience of devoted fans... :wtf: were they thinking?

This seriously irks me... I love book to movie adaptations, and I'm all for them usually... but stick to at least MOST of the elements that made the book a great read.
 
Somebody please track down the full video of that... if I remember correctly it gets much better
