Thanks guys!

What options do you need, Kizdawg? Currently, C6 comes in direct pressfit and 12mm variants, and in regards to PM, yes I do have C3. Feel free to, you know, actually read the opening post :na: I put effort into writing it!

Haha I didnt see you had changed the op too just the new post saying you had them now I see... God I'm such a pain... Bet ya havent had to work this hard on a sale in a while...

Don't worry about it man, you're alright.

Try selling something to somebody who doesn't speak any language you do. Google translate sucks.

Where can I get a blue host just like that one

Cree Q5 270-Lumen 3-Mode LED Flashlight - Blue (1x18650) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme found it
It looks a lot gayer in the dx pictures but in your picture it looks awesome

It's the same light. The actual host is still bright metallic blue but not as pale blue as in DX's pictures.

Though, I got an empty host, not full flashlight. Try looking for that, maybe you can get even cheaper deal.

I don't know exactly from where did mine come from, Dyeote bought it and had it shipped to my address so I can make a 'sink for him.

Hey, that's a good lookin' 'sink :thanks:
Can't wait to build a laser in it :D
I did get the one you see on DX and just gutted it before sending to Eud.
8.7$ is just about cheap enough for a 18650 host body, and since I found a use for the original LED elsewhere, it turned out a pretty decent deal :yh:
I'll probably find a use for the original driver sometime too :shhh:

Oh, cool.

Well you know, since they do sell empy hosts of various famous lights here and there, I thought there'd be one for this. But you're right, below $9 is definitely cheap for 18650 light.

This one also has double O-rings, indicating it might prove to be waterproof light if assembled right. It's incredibly difficult to make with a laser though.

I should add a tiny disclaimer about this light for the detail-sticklers: there are a few minor manufacturing errors, like: some of the decorative circular depressions it has along two bands aren't full circles. This can give a bit of a 'cheapish' feel to the host, if you notice such things...

You named this Ultrafire Q5 in the OP; I never saw the word 'ultrafire' associated with this host; is it a guess? a place-holder? or does it actually not matter at all...

hmm, I have some extra O-rings this size: I might try to make a waterproof laser out of this... what do I have to watch for? the module/sink interface obviously & the lens-holder/module threading... what about the Aixiz lens-holders  are they waterproof on the inside (re: before/behind the lens)?

Are there any other cool 18650 hosts thar are cheap like that(or just gutted)?

Depends heavily on your definition of 'cool' I guess; personally I'm a little tired of looking at black "C6-like" hosts but here's another DIY (gutted) one from DX for 12$

I also have a WF-502B on the way since it was really cheap ($6 on clearance right now), but I'm not 100% what it's form factor is, and I'm still waiting on Eud for the go-word on 'sinking it as its specs apparently have a wide manufacturing tolerance...

Right now I'm looking for another small elegant host (1xAA or smaller), with a known HS & driving solution (which isn't a flexdrive) for a low-power build ;)

I find stainless steel C3 to be very cool. It accepts one AA or 14500, has a pill which fits 17mm boards, though not much heatsinking potential. I only offer direct pressfit because a heatsink for 12mm version would be too thin to install a set screw into it.

Also, yeah I just noticed that there's actually no Ultrafire name in the host  I have no idea what I was thinking.
