I love how the output goes up as the laser "Warms up"

Normally the output of the 500mW Mits diode goes down when the temperature rises.
The peak is just after the start and not after 4 minutes. :thinking:
But the output is impressive. What was the current ?

The build has a TEC, so the diode actually gets cooler as time passes
Diode is running at 1.5A

We use a large adjustable current TEC on our 40Watt FAP Laser
and you can easily see the power go up when the cooling is
engaged.

Seems like the TEC does what you expected... Well done..

Oooh pretty damn good performance!
That's a keeper for sure, I am also thinking of
building a lab style one with TEC for some crazy
LPM graphs...

Ya with a lab style you can get even more fancy and add a fan,
but what these diodes really needs are some correction optics

It is a fiber coupled Laser similar to these....

BTW I wouldn't buy that one because the LD pins
are not shorted and bent..
