Again guys, many thanks for your support.

You asked for more, here is more. :yh:
Pics from this week in the evenings after work. I'm going for business trip from today for a week... So, I hope it is enough, till I have more time.

My laserpainting artwork of the latest week

Why lasers in the nature? In general it express my view of into unity merging complex contrasts (btw present everywhere in the universe) - between natural objects beauty and physically precisely defined radiation of lasers, calm forest and fast energy light movement, reality of scene and abstract - surreal lighting, static and dynamic, dark and bright, near and far... Just to point out some of them. Viewer will discover the others. All of these contrasts fighting again each other tend to perfect balance in infinity time. This is how I see the things works.

Note: The pictures are in true colours of lasers, however the camera sensor captures them just 'very close' to human eyes perception. To distinguish it from computer generated art and to underline it is a real photography I intentionally left there some errors (like snowflakes dropped on camera lens during exposition). I like capturing many interesting details on the picture which are sometimes created by randomness like from action painting.

I'm still learning and experimenting with every picture I take... Therefore these to be considered as, let's say, an amateur artist studies. :D

Nice shots Radim!

Last night sky was clear for a long time but there was a weird fog on the inversion layer around 50 meters AGL..

I've posted this one already but looking for opinions on how this one turned out. I've just started editing RAW images in Adobe lightroom and can say its quite enjoyable! Here's the unedited image. Edited image is below ;) I try and view editing as an attempt to create a truer representation of what the photographer intends to capture in a photo rather than as a distortion of reality, ie trying not to make it look completely unrealistic ;)

Nice one, I completely agree with your philosophy of editting and I also tend to capture the reality, however lasers are always a bit unrealistic due their unique radiation - so I like them to create surreal or abstract illumination - but it is a real light. :D

Also there is something I personally call "laser grain" - effect IMO implied from coherence and light wave behaviour. Basically it might limit details of picture (especially in near distances - like this quoted picture), but it can be used to get a special look - from my current experiments, I have a feeling it can be reduced by using larger aperture diameter (lower f number) - so it is created not only by reflection from the object, but also in the camera lens.

Not too much Lightroom / editing on my photos, just ground level correction and noise reduction.. If you wanna peek original photos straight from camera for example: here, here and here :D

Very nice Aardvark777. :) I like the colourful beamshots. What castle is that, and where about in the UK are you?

Thanks guys! It's not a castle, it's a mocked up wooden church in a forest near Longleat. The tall structure with a 520nm firing out of it is Glastonbury Tor! I live in Somerset England, not far from Glastonbury.

Just a shame it's been raining here for over a week. As soon as it clears up though I'll be getting a few more beamshots. I need to get a photobucket account, the resolution is so much better on some of arctic dude's pictures. I'll get on photobucket and start taking some beamshots around May for sure. Been hard lately due to other commitments and finances. I occasionally poke my nose in though. I still love lasers.

Glastonbury Tor makes a nice setting. You live in a nice part of the country. The weather sure hasn't been good for beamshots lately. Hopefully it clears up, as I want to see a few more. :)

Awesome pictures guys! Going to need to get a tripod for my lasers so I can do some competing Arctic photography with ArcticDude! :)

I really love this thread a lot of beautiful pictures! Aardvark777, will manners, ArcticDude and others...

Thanks to all keeping it alive.

To contribute more - here is what I shot yesterday in the night after work. It was heavy snowing (roads being closed), I used my mountain bike to get to the forest to my favourite place, but I should have used skis instead - big mistake. :D BTW: However it was fun in 30 - 40 cm of fresh snow, but downhill, uphill I had almost no traction.

I was doing also some other study pictures for my next project - new laserpainting method. I need to improve it to publish some pictures - but I got valuable experience. Anyway this picture is my "usual" style and was worth all the dificulties with weather and keeping lasers and camera dry.
